Calculating The Amount Of PureAg Product To Be Used

Decide the number of acres/hectares to be treated Multiply acres/hectare by 8 (see application guidelines below for recommended applications) to determine the total number of acres/hectares treated per season

PureAg Bacteria Mixes PureAg Fungi Mixes
1 Gallon Pouch (16 cups) = 160 acres/64 hectares  1 Gallon Pouch (16 cups) = 80 acres/32 hectares
16 Ounce Pouch (2 cups) = 20 acres/8 hectares 16 Ounce Pouch (2 cups) = 10 acres/4 hectares
8 Ounce Pouch (1 cup) = 10 acres/4 hectares 8 Ounce Pouch (1 cup) = 5 acres/2 hectares
1 Tablespoon = 45 plants 1 Tablespoon = 22 plants

Brewing/Aeration Equipment for Bacteria and Fungi

Aeration Solution: Compressed Oxygen

In circumstances where power is unavailable, one aeration alternative is compressed oxygen. To set up this aeration system:

  • Secure the oxygen tank firmly to a post anchored securely into the ground.
  • Attach the regulator to the tank, ensuring it is tightened to prevent any leakage.
  • Adjust the regulator to a flow rate of 1.8 liters per minute.
  • Connect a clear flex hose to the regulator and tighten it using an adjustable clamp. * Prior to cutting the hose to length, ensure there is sufficient slack so that the diffuser, attached to the other end, can rest at the bottom of the brew tank.

Equipment: Electricity Unavailable at Irrigation Site

2    1” Schedule 40 PVC 90 ̊ Slip to Slip Connectors

Equipment: Electricity Available at Irrigation Site

1    Brew Tank / 1000 gallon capacity for every 100 acres to be treated 1 AC Pump / with stand, starter and wire conduit
1    Sump Pump (3/4 hp) with Mazzei setup for tank aeration Tubing and connectors (TBD)
1”   Flex Hose / enough for two and one-half lengths from tank to irrigation system (TBD) 4 1” Banjo valves with quick release
2    Male and female camlock quick release connectors
1     1” x 8’ Schedule 40 PVC (pending setup distances)
2    1” Schedule 40 PVC 90 ̊ Slip to Slip Connectors

Mechanical Aeration Setup

  • Securely attach the Mazzei Injector by screwing it into the discharge of the sump
  • Connect the air hose to the barbed fitting of the injector
  • Submerge the sump pump into the bottom of the tank
  • Run the air hose out through the top of the tank
  • The sump pump will create a pressure differential, drawing air down through the hose releasing oxygen into the mixed water flow.
