Trichoderma species are one of the most studied fungi. They are ever present colonizers of cellulosic materials, and are often found wherever decaying plant material is available, or in the rhizosphere of plants. When combined with other beneficial micro-organisms, they play a critical role in the nutrient cycle for plants. These beneficial soil micro-organisms help recycle soil nutrients, help solubilize vital nutrients (such as phosphorus), provide plant growth hormones (phytohormones), and can improve overall soil quality.
